adam6604
i know i ask alot of dumb questions, but my box is leaking a bit, my sub closest to the port hits almost like normal, and the other one doesnt move near as much as the other sub, they hit at the same time though. but i was thinking that maybe the leaky box is causing them to act wierd? tomorrow im going to pick up resin and try to resin the whole box in side to seal it up completely, and the leaky box should be the cause of my subs not hitting very good on the low notes, thought its tuned to 33hz? there still rediculously loud for what im used to, but id like to fix this all before the comp next month. Supercharged DCs
Sounds like a loading issue to me, I don't think sealing the box will change that. But I'll let someone more knowledgable chime in. Quote Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012. Louisiana Bass
Might have a bad sub, leaky box wouldn't do that If it's only slight leaks, IMO. Quote N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
adam6604
you always answer my dumb questions so quickly lol but yeah i dont know a whole lot about " loadin issues " but i wish i could figure it out, i DMM'd the subs before i put in the box and all hte voice coils were reading the same, so i dont think a VC is bad.. the local shop said it could be something to do with my box being a common chamber and causing it to do this.. i REALLY dont want to build another box, lol pain in the ass taking my seats out like 4 times Quote Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. ChevyBoy95
is the one close to the port the one not "hitting" as hard? Louisiana Bass
It really doesnt look like a bad box IMO. What power are you running to subs, and what are the box specs. It's not because it's a common chamber. Quote N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
adam6604
the one closest to the port is right, the one closest to you in the picture ( Farthest from port ) isn't hitting low's at all, or really any constant note. it will hit like kicks along with the other sub.
