I went on a trip and valet my car at my cousins work at the airport.. Well when i get back and start bumping with the mtx 81000d and it starts smelling like nasty electrical fire.. Then it went out.Well one of the magnetic transistor some how shorted out and burnt up the board. I tried fixing with some copper wiring but after I hooked it up. smoke straight blew in my face.Burnt the shit out of my eyes!! That was the capacitor that blew. So i bought a new one and hooked it up and fried the board more... so now it is just a paper weight.. It is an inefficient amp compared to the AQ Anyway. Well i need a new alt cause it will take about 250 amps of current to push both my amps. I also need to change out the dura-shit for another XS. So when i come up on about 800 dollars i will get the full potential out of this beast... I just cant imagine it getting any louder, cause now it alreay jiggles my fat and moves my jaw almost painfully. We will see though!! What is the normal charged resting voltage of a d1200? if the duralast drags it down that bad get rid of it. resting voltage should be in the 12.7 plus range. if i saw 12.6 or 12.7 mine owuld be on a charger immediately.
