fecupe2001 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Yes that´s weird lol, as i told you once, my explorer LOVE 39 hz, past that point the score strats dropping, shes very sensitve about tuning frequency, dunno about your mountaineer, about the distance from the hatch, well if you don´t care that much about numbers i wouldn´t worry that much, but my explorer it´s louder no matter what system i use if i place the box on the cargo hooks , those are about 9" away from the hatch, not sure about that... fecupe2001 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 You are absolutly right on everything you said, but sometimes you just have to say FUCK IT and forget about numbers as i did in my swift, i use small port area, small box, small power, pvc tubes, cheap HU, cheap wires, ports to close to the hatch, a mids box on top of the subs box that´s affecting the score, etc etc i can give you way more reasons, i can´t get a 150 legal in that car , but i sure can demo it 7 straight hours and do some nice hairtricks, i couldn´t are less about score in that car, if you like how your system sounds and you know its affecting your score the tuning frequency and the distance of the box from the hatch, i don´t see what´s the big deal, as long as you like it then it´s ok I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
