porksoda
Well I found a pretty decently looking remote start/keyless entry system for sale. Its sounds like a pretty good deal at $50 shipped. I have been wanting something like this for my girlfriends 1998 Nissan Altima(automatic). The car has power locks and windows but she does not have a remote to unlock her doors. So I am wondering how hard it would be to wire up the remote start and key less entry? Anyone have any idea if I need any special bypass connectors or cables for this kind of vehicle? I am pretty good with 12volt so I am thinking it cant be too bad but I dunno if I should take it to a professional shop or try it myself. Here is the unit found(Avital 4103LX): http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21057_Avital-4103LX.html Thanks for the help guys! porksoda
well I am wondering if I will need a remote start bypass. I have a multimeter and I know how to use most of the fuctions. Not really sure whats going to be needed to do this. n8ball2013
knowing the functions of a multimeter is not necessarily going to get you by. you need to test each wire so you need to know how to test it. jconnway
i just did my alarm/remote start. second system on this car. its not a simple plug and play. and yes, you will need a bypass module if the key is chipped.
