Azagtoth502
You can port it, but the airspace will probably be too small. As for finding the airspace of a given box.......... http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp Quote pa-pa-platypus sorry not everybody has a companies nuts so far down their throat they catch every drop ball sweat when it falls
michigancapri92
you can port a sealed box but most subwoofers have much smaller airspace for sealed rather than ported so the ported box will probably be much smaller than recommended Quote Teamcapri.comThe TeamCapri 1992 Mercury Capri XR22012 FORD EDGE SQ BUILDOld build logMy FeedBack1992 Mercury capri XR2 Hyper LED
zfrerichs
Or height x width x length / 1728 = cubic airspace with internal dimentions. Quote Roseville, CA
MrSkippyJ
Yes you can, take a look at my old build I did just that! It was for 2 different subs so it worked for me. iKidwell
new box isn't necessarily needed if, either your box is way too big as it is, or you use an external aeroport.. Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
blownengine
IMO it would be easier to design and build a new one instead of working around existing dimentions and box. The airspace and port might never be right. But with a new box you can make it perfect.
