Craig28
would an xs d3100 be enough for a few quick burps on a hifonics bxi 2610 at .25? i was just wondering. i kinda wanna do it for a comp on the 30th but i was gonna try it out today and see how low my voltage drops Quote TEAM DC Everything is a 150 on th earometer Well I guess punching a woman is a good way to test your strength! zayres29
That amp is going to be As hot as the sun after that I would ever do that on a hifinics bxi amp Quote Btw that was the first person. rickyfromthe407
Its gona RAPE both your amp and battery...Amps gonna get hot and not agree with your decision...could burn up that amp. And that d3100 is gonna drop voltage pretty low...probably wouldnt be good for the batt. And with the amp losing the voltage from the batt...well. you see where I am going w/ this.. probably not the best idea man. I wouldnt burp it at .25ohm.. period. jmilch
Even if you did try it, you'd need a bank of batteries to keep the amp from frying. There is a reason you see 6+ batteries in most systems that burp. TheyDontWantMusic
the amp isn't going to get hot on a 3 second burp. I ran my DD Z1 at 0.25ohm at the last competition, running an exide orbital (D34 size) and a standard 550cca lead acid battery. your amp has short circuit protection, so chances are you won't be able to simply burp, you'll have to scroll the volume up, and even then it might shut down. TheyDontWantMusic
yes, but if he breaks the Hifonics, he gets to upgrade! I've seen so many dead DD Z1amps... I have no idea how people kill them! mine spends half its time in protect anyway
n8ball2013
the first runs had issues with the boards being prone to vibration. the z1a was supposed to fix that.
