Well i finally reconnected some stuff yesterday and drove to home depot and a couple other places. Drove around again today for less then 30 mins. When i get back and un hook my batteries again to start working on my car i noticed something.... I forgot to reconnect my 0 gauge wire that goes from the alternator to the battery.. so it was just hanging off the alternator. If the ring terminal has any burn marks or like a ding in it, then it shorted out for a brief second on your body (ground) if it looks fine then you didnt short anything out. Dont feel bad, i shorted out my capacitor on my old car because i did what i do best and cranked the screw on and stripped the screw and when i mounted the cap back on the rear seat, the ground wire touched the positive for a split second and arced so badly that it sent the spark out the rear trunk. haha.
