Man builds his own million dollar Bugatti supercar by hand

As a drag racer/road racer, it takes much more to make a car go fast in a straight line than around a track, suspension and gearing are key, a road race car against a drag car with identical power will ultimately lose to the drag car drag racing and vice versa!

meh, its a really cool project car and I'm sure dude spent a lot of time and money on it, but for $89k I'd take a Nissan GTR any day of the week. I just couldn't bring myself to pay almost $90k for something that has the underpinnings of a 9 year old Mercury. Plus, I would be kind of embarrassed when people would want to go for a ride and it be slow as shit, or when you pop the hood and see a tired old 2.5L V6 lmao.

When I'm paying that much for a car, I want the performance to match the looks shrug.gif

Can you imagine... You decide to spend 90k on this, drive it off the lot, start heading home and BAM! Rear ended...

my dads rail goes 0-170 in 7 seconds. for under 15k.

comparing handling, straight line top speed, then acceleration is like comparing dolphins to elephants.

the best all around car isnt gonna go 270 mph. cuz no where would that kind of speed be practical cuz it takes most of those cars YEARS to approach those speeds.

and define "production" i know chassis builders that "produce" 300+ mph top fuel cars. and they do it in under 4 seconds.

apples and oranges people.
