OrionStang
I'm probably gonna get blasted for asking this. The 2 channels on mono amps are wired in parallel internally, right? So if I have two d1 subs, one on each channel wired series, the two 2-ohm impedences will equal a 1-ohm load at the amp. Is my diagram correct? MrSkippyJ
You got it. Exactly how I did mine. OrionStang
I thought so. Thanks for the confirmation. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Gill555
Not to thread jack but how would I wire 2 dual 4ohm subs to an amp like this with a final Impedance of 1 ohm
corey0928
Lol I had the Same question. It confused the hell out of me when I saw a mono amp with 2 terminals
OrionStang
Just wire each sub in parallel(+ to +, - to -). Then connect each one to a channel on the amp. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
tonedeaf
Uh oh, and you had a lvl 5 wired to that? YOU WIRE IT BRIDGED? I had the same question back in the day too.

tonedeaf
Not to thread jack but how would I wire 2 dual 4ohm subs to an amp like this with a final Impedance of 1 ohm Parallel cuts impedence in half. Series doubles it. So each D4 = 2ohm load. Then each sub in parallel together = 1ohm load. Parallel = wire sub positive to sub positive and negative to negative with jump wires, then tie both subs positives and negatives together in parallel and plug into one of the speaker terminals. If you wanted to, you could do each sub separately to each 'channel' since they are in parallel internally.
