ryne19
Believe me i'm not trying to be an ass and tell people they are wrong. I'm just trying to let people know that it might not be that simple as adjusting my gain. If the subs coils both read 1.2 does this mean its a d1 or 1.4? If its a 1.4 the amps i tried to hook it up to could be seeing an ohm load it doesn't like perhaps? I have it wired as if its a d1 down to 2 ohms. I do appreciate all the input and my hu is one of the cheaper jvc ones so it probably has a lower preout on it. My amp also has two gain settings, one goes from .5 to 2 and the other is like 2 to 6 or something. I had it on the .5 to 2. As for pics and videos, i don't have it hooked up atm since i got tired of it not working after trying so many things.
ChevyBoy95
we work with what you give us, pics, vids, etc. all can aid us to respond in a more detailed or on point "fix" or idea of what to do next. Take pics of the side of the amp where the gain is and make sure it is clear and post it up. nvm, i see what you mean about the two gain settings. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23986_Soundstream-RUB1.2500D.html Its for various input voltage, if your preout is 2v, switch it to 2-8v and have it all the way up, or have it on the .5v-2v and have it all the way down(i think thats how it works). lower the input voltage means more gain. But as far as when you get your XL, before hooking it up, check the triple joint, suspension, etc. to make sure its 100% and then hook it up and see if anything seems out of place. Do you have that backwards? I thought if it was on the .1-2V range it would be all the way up to match the 2V pre-out to the 2V input sensitivity, and if it was on the 2-8V, it would be all the way down at 2V.
