I score 3-4 dB louder with my windows all the way down....Is this because I peak at my enclosures frequency (34-36 hz) and not anywhere near my cars resonance frequency (44-47 hz)? I am soon running a Warden 21 (daily "groundpounder") and would like to do a few competitions now and then. So I would like to know how to get better scores sealed up at lower frequencies. EclipseChris Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 There's a bunch of factors, but this is actually really common. Typically its just a combination of the enclosure and the car itself. Its kinda hit and miss on predicting it and controlling it, so if you wanted to change that circumstance then you'd have to do trial an error. Nope I am non-walled in the trunk space of a hatchback (Hyundai Tiburon GT 2006). I am running an IA Warden 15" off of a SAZ-4500D at 0.7 ohms nominal. The enclosure is 3.75 cubic feet tuned to 30 hertz.
