I'll definitely look into the a5. How is the range on it? How about the accuracy? :)

EDIT: nvm just seen you posted again lol

Your a bounty hunter, therefore, badass. Recommend a specific gun from those brands?

Stock, like almost every other gun, but upgraded, it can be a beast. I was a "heavy gunner" and a "marks man"of my group. I had the best range and most predictable shot placement. This was wiyh the same gun too. That apex barrel you get so much more range, better accuracy, plus you can hook and curve your shots around corners and into bunkers and such.

Damn good information man, I really appreciate the help.

This caught my eye...

The various firing options seems nice. Any thoughts? I know mentioned a $200 budget in the OP, but it's flexible to a point.

Well power isnt really different for many guns

(You can change the velocity of the balls on most guns with a turn of a knob)

and in all reality if your doing woods play itd be better to have a Tippman based on the stability

Spyders are insanely good for speed (If you have the fingers for it) and tippmans have a better range (So better for woods play vs the spyders ability to be virsitile)

dont get me wrong im not a spyder nuthugger i love tippman aswell, but if you go with like the avenger(I have a modded avenger)/Victor get a longer barrel(only problem ive found with spyders is the barrel always chops paint which reduces speed/accuracy) - electronic hopper (paintball container that rotates the paintballs to keep them in motion and the paint even) - and a compressed air tank (Vs co2) and practice you can dropp tippmans (Just from MY experience - granted this may vary)

I play in local tourneys and my burst rate is about 10-11 balls per second on my modded spyder vs my 9 on my modded tip (Yes it doesnt sound like a big deal but every ball counts in a 60 second round!)

but either way you go (Sounds like you want to do woods play) you would be PERFECT :)!

I play Paintball a bit. I'd recommend the smart parts ion. They are fun but use up ammo pretty quick. Personally I use a heavily modified viewlowder triad with a 20" barrel. Cheap gun but is very accurate.

angels are badass too. and dye dm's do get ridiculous in price, but the one i used was borrowed from a ref at the paintball place, so i didnt have to pay for anything but balls. a5's are sweet too. only thing i would suggest, get a halo hopper or something like that, because it helps the feed rate to the gun, sometimes in plastic regular hoppers the balls can get stuck and you have to shake them loose while getting shot at.

Yeah that'd be a good starter gun until you learn how to upgrade parts yourself and build one to your liking. I had an a5 with a modded ape board I used for, that plus some other upgrades to the air system and upgraded vortex mod, I was pushing over 20 bps, not the fastest I've seen, but I maintained great accuracy out past most other peoples maximum range. I just never had any problem with any of my tippmann. Great starter gun, and one of the few fund I've seen that can play in the rain and soaked. Winter games even with co2 want much of a problem with the cycle rate, where as my cousins piranha would have issues in the cold, but I doubt you'd play in winter weather,l lol. I'd check out vids on youtube of the guns to see. Too bad I don't have mine anymore, and we weren't closer, you could have seen what my and my friend marker could do. Big perk is replacement and upgrade parts are usually cheaper most other guns.
