Hello this is my first thread on this forum, sorry that my spelling is terrible

I've done a Ground Zero build in my volvo S60 that i want to show.

The system was laid out to compete in DB DRAG STREET C

This was the orginal system plan:

GROUND ZERO:

2x GZPA 1.6500 Amp

3x GZPW 12" limited bass

1x GZNC 1650X kit

1x GZHA 4150X Amp

1x GZHA 2250X Amp

4x GZIF 4003X coax

1x GZPC 12.0 F Kondensator

Impact:

2x HS 8038 kicks

Hu:

Hillman HDC-1900

1x MDS Fanatic kit (backfill)

2x MDS fanatic coax (backfill)

Batteries

5X Biltema Silverline 100AH

Power cabels and stuff from skyllermarks

Speaker cabels from Hollywood about 60meters

This is my team mate Albin, and our workshop:

The wokshop is an old stable on our farm, witch is why we call our team:

team stallbasverkstan, witch translates to: team stable bass workshop

Moving on, this the car all stripped out for dampening and wireing

Then the dampening began using silent coat:

The roof was a bitch, because you can't get the inner roof panel out, without creasing it, so i had to work on top of it laying on the floor.

I love me some Ground Zero! But if you can't get it out without creasing the headliner, how did the factory get it in?

I really don't know, but i was told from 2 other guys that had done it, NOT TO!

They might heat it up first or something?

The sledgehammer is allways good to have around!

Never heard of silent coat before, is it pretty good quality? I like the texture it has

I then carried on with the floor:

Usefull tools when dampening:

Then i thougt i might as well clean the seats while they were out, so i used a wet vacuum cleaner that also sprays detergent:

Drying inside by the woodburner, was about -15C outside when i was doing this!

Then some more dampning:

Then i started with the wireing for the front doors, witch was a pain in the ass, i wanted to put 2 stereo cables throu the orginal socket in to the door, so i drilled holes for them, but the socket was to small for 4x 2.5mm cabels, i got it together again tho, but got a connetion problem, with the computer box in the door! Endend up costing med 275 dollars to get i fixed at Volvo.

Got some free rca cabels, witch were thin and soft, so really easy to work with:

Then i laid all the cable, about 60meters running front to back, and 20meters running from HU to the show speakers in the trunk. 7x 13 gauge on the right side:

Saved some 8 gauge for the subs tho

Rca cables on the leftside and 3x speaker cables 13 gauge

Might put up some more tomorrow if anybody wants to?

Yes it's in middle class segment, about 1/4 price of dynamat in sweden, it cost me about 500 dollars to do the hole car.

And if you put double layers, it does a hell of a job.

It sticks really good exept when it's really cold, thas why i used a heatgun.

Looks like tons of fun working in the cold... And love the sledge that is in every shot. You can't work on a car without a proper hammer!

Are you using Silent Coat or Silent Coat Extra (their 4mm version)?

For those who don't know much if anything about Silent Coat, it's one of the better products available in the UK.
