Ecco
Paint lacquer? It'll prolly do the job well, but I'm not sure if it'll do anything to the dash. It shouldn't.

Brake clener will eat the paint off his dash. How about you go spray your hood with brake cleaner and see what happens. Op. The stuff you want is called cosmoline. Avail at upholestery places. Denatured alcohol from home depot will also work. Ray
Look dude. This is simple. It will eat the plastic on the dash. If you still dont want to listen, go brake clean a small un noticable spot of plastic it your car. Post back after it fux your plastic up. Hell, just read the can of brake clean I hate when people give bad advise. Brake clener will eat the paint off his dash. How about you go spray your hood with brake cleaner and see what happens. Op.
