I have two amps that have only one channel on each my question is does it really matter how i wire them?

friend told me to wire each sub to its own Amp but i want to know if it really matters...

Like if i wire both subs parallel to one amp versus wiring both subs in parallel individually to there own seperate amp?

my question is does it matter..

sorry if my question is confusing....

amps ohm loads.

1 ohm: 1200 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.

if you wired each sub to their own amp in parallel, you can kiss those subs goodbye! so rule that out.

wire both subs in parallel to ONE amp. thatll leave you with a 1 ohm load.

wait....you said you had 2 dual 4 ohm type r's?? why did you take it off???

took them off because they're only 500 rms and the amp at 1 ohm is 1200 even though i was told the type rs can handle like 800-1000 watts..

ok i have the type rs so if i wire them to 1 ohm boom they're gone but ok i have some used mtx subs coming to me soon description says 1000watts rms...now does it matter if i wire them to one amp or should i just wire each sub to there own amp...

EDIT: I will return tomorrow when i am not as tired i cant even form a sentence and im confusing my damn self at the moment LOL im going to bed...

the biggest problem with one amp on one sub and another amp on another sub is the gains

its almost impossible to get them exactly the same

use a DMM and its not so hard to get em real close.

why dont you use just one amp, wire up the 2 type Rs to get 1 ohm and set your gain right

sell the 2nd amp or whatever
