Ported/horn enclosure question on an internal 45 in the box.

why do you feel the need to bump every 5-10 min?

nowhere in any of those pics do i see a resined 45*.

your subs should play 30-60hz decently but really should stretch from 20-80hz to give a full sub stage.

I havnt done the 45 in the corner yet...thats why im here...

The whole box is already resin'ed

the day i demoed it, it did very well on the lows and highs, it was pretty flat, but I never really even tried 55hz+ Im not that much of a fan for 60hz+ It adds to a headache MUCH quicker "for me".

sorry man, im just stuck on the build right now, Its not like i havnt even tried too google my question, or even search it...cuz ive TRIED everything, This is my last resort, I try too never ask noob questions if i can avoid asking.

I just dont want to fuck up my enclosure by putting a 45 in the corner were the port and horn meet, But im afraid it might cancel out my Horn by shooting waves Str8 out "bypassing the physics of the horn".

the build is litterally at a stand still 4 2 days, ive got too much work into this box too just guess, plus the 45 will be permanent.

you put huge flat walls in the middle of the box and your worried about a small 45*???? you got to be kidding me... it wont do anything you will notice.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

Huge flats walls...what?

Do u mean the cross brace in the middle of the box for support? This IS a 7.8 cubic box, are u saying i should remove it? or use somthing else?

Im sure it was designed too stop standing waves, and instead of a steel rod, or 2x4 i used .75 mdf.

I see nothing wrong.

I like my subs to have a solid 25-60hz bandwidth, then kinda die off above that to blend into my mids which can play fairly well down to about 70hz. I don't see how you had a box before that only hit well in a 5hz range...that's...odd.

Yeah was kinda weird, The box was too large everyone said, with too much port area, obstructed port with a failed internal brace. lots of things were wrong with my first enclosure lol.

Im not 100% sure it wont go over 55hz cuz I never played any higher frequencies during the 10min demo. Im sure it will tho, even if it didnt, The mids im getting will do 45hz lowest recommended frequency. :drinks:

i kinda agree with skittles, i doubt you'll notice anything to the ear, maybe something on a tl though

Why not make a 45 out of wood to test and then if you like it you can do it in resin? This will give you a much better answer than people on the forum guessing

you NEED 45's, at least. Bass doesnt refract well in a square, thats why most recording studios arent square :) if you have a single 90' angle, fix it, that includes the ones on your brace, take a router and a roundover bit to that, also, you need more bracing, and you need to paint the inside of the enclosure.

Getting bass into the cabin of a W124 mercedes is impossible.

Current setup:

Temp 1999 panasonic HU

rockford 300.2 for fronts

rockford 200.2 for rears

rockford 400.1 for sub

Leaning towards a 8" in an exponential horn
