jmilch
It appears to be spongey.. Risks are it may be weak, and the moisture may have expanded it.. bcpballer64
Mold growing in your vehicle? Getting sick from the mild being in your vehicles remember mold is actually microscopic so its probably completely penetrated your wood. Is scrap it unless you are going to glass both sides completely. basshead396
I concur scrap it, it's not worth the risk both to the sub and your health. MrSkippyJ
I wouldn't chance putting moldy wood in my car. Better to buy new wood than to have a moldy car. bcpballer64
That looked like black mold too which is no shit to fuck with. Imho is scrub down every place that wood has been with 2:1 bleach water. Brandonrcm
A piece of mdf is 30-40 bucks, don't take the risk and just throw it out
BJD3
Maybe its just because everyone in my house is hella allergic to mold, so I tend to avoid fucking with it unless I have to, but I'd just scrap it and buy a $30 sheet of MDF. I understand wanting to save a buck or two, but seriously, $30 now or many, many times that in potential medical bills? And to be honest, I really doubt even resining the sheet would replace enough of the glue that washed away for it to be solid enough to really use for box building. It now looks as if it would be 1 inch low density fiberboard. I'm no expert when it comes to wood though, so take that with a grain of salt. tl;dr just buy new wood.
