Second Skin Rep Jon
Oy... You can always become a dealer. Sell some product, inform some people, make some cash... not a bad deal. That and we could use a dealer in Missouri... I know that I've thought about it many a time, just haven't pulled the trigger. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me! OP I hope youve learned something from the thread though. P&S belongs on the roof of a building and far away from a car and is nowhere near a sound deadener. Second Skin Rep Jon
^ Not too impressed with the performance of that product to be honest with ya. Yes it's butyl but it's adhesive is extremely "gummy" and as the temperature increases, it's performance decreased during my testing. Same with RaamMat and Audio Wrap. smitty2919
Thanks for the replies guys. I really appreciate it. I would start with the back seat area since that is where the mufflers reside. What are the individual sheet sizes of the Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro? If I'm going to do this I might as well go all out on the better products. I looked at that Sound Deadener Showdown site....so Sound Deadener Showdown/Second Skin CLD Tiles = Damplifier CCF+MLV = Luxury Liner Pro They seem similar in products....but I could be wrong. I like the idea of SS and having the two materials bonded together as Luxury Liner Pro though. And if 25% coverage is so well known by people or is the right way to do it, why does everyone cover the whole car in constrained layer dampener type material? Second Skin Rep Jon
Damplifier Pro is 12" x 20", totaling 1.67 sq. ft. per sheet. Luxury Liner Pro 24" x 54", totaling 9 sq. ft. per sheet. And I agree, it's best to do it once and do it right with the correct product(s). I'm not saying that Second Skin is the only way to go, I'm just saying don't go with cheap garbage that you will then have to replace later down the road... far too many individuals that have done that and learned the hard way. smitty2919
What separates you (SS) from Sound Deadener Showdown? Both seems like quality products....I think it comes down to price at this point. People seem to like both companies.
