With a regular ported box (L-shape) with subs and port facing backseats i got 134.8 on TL. Now, port is firing into cabin, so i'm hoping for higher numbers. here's now i got all wiring set up. One thing i don't get is why voltage doesn't drop at all? playing music it stays in high 13's. Playing tones, like 47-49hz it dropped to 12.3-12.5. Chode69 Posted September 8, 2011 Report Share Posted September 8, 2011 looking at the design to me it seems like there is way to many areas for the air pressure to get stuck before it goes out of the port. its an interesting design though. just doesnt seem to efficient to me looks more to me the pressure doesnt have any time to build up before its forced out...port is too close to the subs. i had an issue w a box like that...it would allow the subs back wave to come right out of the box instead of havingtime to build up that pressure. it would do pretty got SPL numbers but dont let it play any music or them bitches got hot and smelly. but n this case its the subs forward wave checked to make sure you don't have a sub/coil wired backwards/out of phase? that port firing through a ski hole or something? it's firing thru ski hole, since back seats do not fold down.
