bigaltexas Posted September 9, 2011 Report Share Posted September 9, 2011 i really want to step up my sq. ive never done it before. i want to have a variety really. maybe 1 8 in each door. 3 6.5's. 4x6 in the back doors. and a couple tweeters. make some suggestions of what i should put, and what speaker models also. ive had mtx<--shit. polk. kicker. and want to step it up. big time. i dont wanna go over board though with like 100 6.5's or anything though. I went with powerbass mids 1 8 & 1 6.5 and a tweet in each door and it gets plenty loud. Here are mine. So if you can, listen to a few different types/brands and go with ones you like the sound of. Once you've decided on what to go with, kill your door panel resonance with some high quality sound deadening. Toss some closed cell foam behind the trim to kill any rattles you may have. Wrap your wiring in some fleece or some closed cell foam (again this will help with killing those annoying rattles). And watch your SQ skyrocket! Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me!
