Also when you say run speaker wire to from actuator to the relay inside the truck?

Honestly im kind of worried about this alarm install because it is a s10 and limited on space, Never been good at finding a spot to mount the brain lol

yep, speakerwire from relays under dash to actuators in doors.

It won't be an easy or quick task, just did a sunfire and removed the entire dash for easy of installation. I say to set aside as much time as possible for this install, did mine slowly over the course of 3-4 days. Take your time, solder all connections and heatshrink them.

No my last alarm ( in the jeep ) took 4 hours and that was doing it half assed

Im going to do everything i can ahead of time to make the install easier, such as Label the wires on the alarm with tape as to what they are the the corresponding wire it connects to

Also quick qestion on the s10 that you did? Was there any grommets that you where able to use to wire up the siren/hood pin?

No problem man. If I was closer i'd do it for you. It takes me about 2 hours to do an alarm on these if I add locks. Do you need a wiring diagram for you car? I can email you exactly what wires and where if necessary. As far as a grommets in the firewall it varied if manual or auto tranny. Worst case drill a small hole. There's plenty of room for the brain. Just remove the lower dash and dash bezel. You may be able to fit it behind the fusebox.

Damn! This makes me want to put a power lock/unlock in the passanger door of my escort! Right now its just driver side and hatch that are on the fob.

Is there any way to install and hook up an actuator in the passenger door and have it lock/unlock with the button on the fob along with the drivers door? Theres no electric lock/unlock buttons in the car itself, just on the fob.

As for an actuator, could i just pull one out of an escort in a junkyard that has electric locks? or would it be just as easy to get the one from sonic-electonix?

If you dont want the thread jack, I'll delete the post and start a new thread, i just saw that the guys in here were rather knowlegeble on the subject :werd_msword:

Thanks!!
