Blackedout
.25 ohm per board At nominal. pretty impressive that this amp can run that low. Quote Trunk Build Log
iKidwell
i'm still somewhat confused...it's making like 6500w between the 2 channels after rise? i'm really just trying to figure out why it's called the 12k if it's making the same power as the 7.5k...(if i'm reading all this right.) Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
kickass audio
The reason they call it a 12k is because if you were to bridge both channels, it would be over 12000 watts of power This amp is a 2 channel amplifier, not a full blown monoblock. The speaker outputs have a left and right channel. Cody clamped them one channel at a time and came up with the same results. So he came up with a lot more power than the amp is rated for with his voltage and imp rise. Ray
he is getting 30hz 44a 71v 3124x2 @ 1.61ohm per channel thats 6k not 6k per channel. he was wired at .5 per channel. he would have to wire down to .2 or so per channel in order to get 12 clamped. tonedeaf
he is getting 30hz 44a 71v 3124x2 @ 1.61ohm per channel thats 6k not 6k per channel. he was wired at .5 per channel. he would have to wire down to .2 or so per channel in order to get 12 clamped. Which would probably put alot more stress on the electrical causing more drop I'd assume. That's why I am a fan of the 9k. This thing still does rated though, so no reason to worry about it. kickass audio
Ray, It still sounds like he has everything good. The amp is rated at 2100w per channel at 2 ohms, and 3400 at 1 ohm. The amps ratings off the site are for 14.4v too, and according to his post, he dropped to 12v.
