I say go with the 19 the way ballistic are these day. A 9mm can perform just as good. But some people would disagree and it just has never been proven or settled in an augment which is better plus go to the gun shop and hold ea model for periods of time to c which 1 u like and fits in ur hand and if ur able to rent 1 or use a buddys shot them to c which 1 u perfect

ballistics wise 9mm and 45 are worlds apart. big slow bullet or smaller fast bullet. either will get the job done. I think the 9 is a litlte slimmer and has a higher magazine capacity. You'll get those that will argue that if you are good it only takes one. do what was said about. handle them both. get hte one you are comfortable with. I carry a glock27 daily.

Exactly as stated. Go to the store, hold both and see what feels best. Something to keep in mind, if you plan on doing much target shooting with it, 45 shells aren't cheap, trust me

I had the glock 23 in 40 cal and it was nice and compact but imo the 40 kicked real hard hurt my hand and was uncomfortable id go with the 9mm imo if you want 45 get a colt ,kimber, para ordinance etc

I use to shoot hydrashocks and talons out of it real hot loads. Maybe that was the reason and I had the preban cali clips either 14 or !6 I don't remember its been 10+ yrs plus a 28 ext round one. I do miss that glock

It all depends what the weapon is used for, me personally, I always carry a .45. That is because if I must use it, I prefer the stopping power. My 9mm I use when I want a smaller conceal, but with that one if I must use it, it will be a double tap, vs a single with the .45. They are both excellent weapons, just depends what the application is for. Now the .45 has a recoil you must get use to. IMO get the best of both worlds get a .40
