Crossover set 30 24dB slope - 100Hz 12 dB slope? Just can't figure it out. had an MTX 4508 in the same box at 4 ohms, no problems. Any input would help. audiofanaticz Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Tline enclosures are built woofer specific last time i checked, that has to do with the actual cone area of the woofer (saying they are both 8s, does not make it the same) as well as the xmax of the woofer, and many other critical variables.

miniSPLlancer Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 That's odd you bring this up, a buddy of mine just got 3 SA-8's and a SAZ 1500 and 2 of the subs were bad right from the get go. T-lines are very efficient, I built a t-line for my sa-8 and with around 250 watts it was at maximum excursion. Since I had it inverted I could hear the tripple joint ring hitting the top plate. A general rule of thumb for t-lines is to use half the subs rated power.
