Subs get power, don't "play"

Yesterday I decided to put my system back in because I missed it.

This is what I have:

(4)Kicker 12's dual 2ohm

Audiopipe 3001D wired at 4ohms

1/0 gauge knu konceptz wire

350amp fuse

I don't remember the exact specs of my box, but it is around 5cubes, ported, tuned at 34hz

I hooked everything up and turned it on, the subs get power and play. But they are not actually hitting at all. As if the highpass filter switch was turned on or something. I dont exactly know how to explain it, but it sound like i have (2) 6x9's instead of my 12's that hit pretty hard. Its as if its barely getting any power at all. I checked the gains and amp settings and everything looks fine to me. The connections are good and tight, ground is good, fuse is good.

Looks like you have 8 coils to wire, could be that something was wired wrong and some of the coils are out of phase

my guess is you have wired them up wrong, i assume you are attempting to wire them to a final load of 1 ohm in series/parallel and somewhere you got some wires crossed

edit: also, after thinking about it, you could have either missed one coil or had a wire from one coil come loose that would also act like you are describing

just for reference, you CANNOT wire that amp to 1 ohm. its 2 ap 1500's in 1 case so they're internally strapped so wiring it to 2 ohms makes each amp see 1 ohm. the only way you can wire them is like this

edit: but just quadruple check your wiring with that diagram and you should be set

I was assuming from the mention of the amp being wired to 4 ohm that there would be something like this

each coil = 2 ohm

each sub = coils in series to 4 ohm

each sub pair = series to 8 ohm/parallel to 2 ohm

2x pairs = parallel to 4 ohm if each pair = 8 ohm/series to 4 ohm if each pair = 2 ohm

LOTS of wiring possibilities leads to LOTS of chances to miswire something

sounds like they are wired wrong and seeing cancelation due them being out of phase.

Easy way to check,

unhook subs touch pos speaker lead to battery + and take neg. speaker lead and touch it to battery - subs should all move snd all move the same way.
