  1. With 2 dual 2ohm subs, you can end up with a final load of 2 or 8 ohm
  2. I have deadener on the backside of my plate, entire underside of the trunk lid, foam in all trunk lid cavities and my single 12 is firing forward (not sealed from the rest of the trunk) and mine rattles like crazy even at low volumes. Just one of the things I can add to my list of still to do when I have time.
  3. It was the first short that Mike Judge did for ''Beavis & Butt-Head" that he had sent in to MTV, for that a animated drawing series or something, I forgot the name. That would have been Liquid Television, which was (I believe) where Aeon Flux started as well.
  4. Un-tethered jailbreaks are what you want, not tethered because with tethered if you ever turn off/reset the phone and your not connected to iTunes your phone(or it dies) you will lose the jailbreak and have to be done again X2 I started my jailbreaking with a tethered version and it SUCKED! Good to hear that iOS5 is decent though, hopefully the good ole jailbreakers out there get an untethered version out quick.
  5. The Blue Angels are amazing. I've seen them plenty growing up in a Navy family.
  6. In my opinion, you're going to have a tough time hanging a ported enclosure from the rear deck, much less 2 seperate. I see the weight of the box(es) being an issue, and possibly space being another. Have any pics of the rear deck area that you're thinking about using? edit: Looked through your pics and saw the idea you have but no pics of the actual area involved. Are you going to have the box "hanging" from the rear deck, or going from the bottom of the deck to the trunk floor? Also, I saw it mentioned that this was a "t-line"? The drawing looks like a ported box with lots of bends to accommodate the needed port length, not a t-line as I understand one to be.

    Woot

I've gotten lots of things from woot over the years. It's one of my go to everyday sites. There was a couple week period a little while back that I was getting a woot box in the mail just about every day.
  8. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=pico+fuse+pioneer TONS of info on Pioneer's issues with noise out there.
  9. I knew a guy years ago that had one in the area. Unfortunately lost touch and don't currently know of anyone else around here. Who is it that wants $40 an hour for TL time?
  10. LOL!!!!!!! Far from it. Just wanted to get my chilluns in good schools. I'm in probably the oldest (and lowest priced) neighborhood in Collierville. Whereabouts are you? Midtown, near the zoo. I teach in the MCS system and I know what you mean about going elsewhere for good schools! My wife teaches at Kingsbury Elementary, we knew for a fact our kids weren't going to City Schools.
  11. haha that makes two of us lol Makes 3 of us now. But I do have an older 500D in my truck You guys in Memphis? I am...sort of. Collierville to be more specific Collierville, rich man! LOL!!!!!!! 14. The sub is an 8. Elemental Designs 9kv.2. There's beefier 8s out there that could probably fit, but I got the sub fairly cheap at the time. I built the enclosure.
  15. I believe those use a 2" coil. IMO...they would be good to tear apart to see each individual piece of a sub and how they are put together, but not much more than that.
  16. Another thing...is yours an automatic or manual trans? If auto, you should have more room to extend out from the console up to the underside of the dash. With a manual, I had a lots less room to work with.
  17. I lied, I do have a couple more To the original poster, sorry for clogging up your thread but maybe this can give you an idea of what you can do.
  18. This is from the start of it. Unfortunately, being the 7th or so try at getting something in there, I was in a rush and didn't take many pics along the way. Just covered with foil and a little tape and fiberglassed over the metal frame and foam from the stock console and went from there. I'll see if I can find a little time later to get some pics of what it looks like done/now. I honestly don't even remember what it looks like under the stock covering any more. This was one of my other ideas with 2 8s but I missed having my arm rest/storage and didn't really like the JBLs anyway.
  19. It'll be hard to fit a 10 between the seats, there's only about 9.5" there. I went through at least 6 different enclosures before ditching the idea of doing even a single 10 in mine (01 standard cab dakota) I finally made a fiberglass copy of the center console and put an 8 in it down firing, covered with the stock console cover and reattached the flip up arm rest thing. Looks stock but I have a sub in there and it actually sounds pretty good for a small sub setup
  20. No clue what rates look like nowadays, but when I was installing at Circuit City back in the day we only charged something like $20 - $25 extra for a direct wire job.
  21. fixed X2 That's one of the only reasons I keep DirectTV. I get stuck with Titans games instead of being able to see the Fins and there's no bars within about 20 miles for me to go watch the game and I'm not driving that far back home after a few (too many) beers. I need my Sunday Ticket.
  22. Email sent to Mike/woofercooker for a quote but wanted to post here in case the email doesn't get through for some reason. Looking for a quote on 2 refurb D4 SA-8s shipped to 38017
  23. I wouldn't mind one The name came from my last name (Mullen) when we moved from San Diego to Memphis. Friends thought we were going to have to grow mullets and started calling me that. Just kind of stuck.
  24. Name's Brad, living in Collierville, TN (suburb of Memphis, closer to MS state line than the actual city of Memphis.) Been into car audio since my parent's bought my brother and me our first car in 93. System started out REAL bad but gradually got better with additions and different equipment...until it got stolen. My addiction started with that first system and I haven't looked back since. I've known of Mr. Meade and his builds for a pretty long time and I've browsed this site for a while but finally decided to join. I took second at a DB Drag at the local Circuit City around June 98 with a 140.5. That was 2 Vega 124's in a 4 cu.ft. ported box (can't remember the tuning 13 years later) on a Hifonics Centurian. In the past I've had Pioneer, Kenwood, Kicker, CV, Infinity, MTX (quite a few different ones when I worked at Circuit City), MB Quart, lots of different amps, lots of different radios. Currently, my Dakota has an Elemental Designs 9kv.3 on an old Memphis 500D in a fiberglass center console copy box. My 626 has an old MB Quart 10 on an Avionixx AXT800.2. Married with 2 kids doesn't leave much time or money for my hobbies but I'm hoping to be inspired to do a few things here and there while looking around on here. Hopefully I can contribute but I'll be more of a lurker than a poster most likely.
