Just curious....you could run the 2 fosgates NOW right? Why don't you START there and THEN see which direction you want to head. Build a box for those and see what you think. If you visit Rockford Fosgate's site, you can look up specs on what they like for boxes in their archives.

i did have just 2 hooked up but i think it sounds better with the memphis also so if i get 4 matching it should sound even better right?

and i have the origanal boxes the fosgates came in so the specs are on em

You must have missed my post on the first page about t/s specs. Look at the specs on any 2 different subs, they are different. It will not sound good to mix.

Dude having different subs in the same car is a bad idea period. You get cancellation and other problems in the run. Every sub is different with different specs. You just don't like to listen. If you're just going to ignore our help then end the thread and go do your thing then let us know how you fail.

How did you have them hooked up? Sealed box? Ported? How much power were you giving them. My old brother in law had 2 HE's sealed and down fired in a Ford SuperCrew and they slammed. If the HX's weren't loud and clean, something went wrong.

How did you have them hooked up? Sealed box? Ported? How much power were you giving them. My old brother in law had 2 HE's sealed and down fired in a Ford SuperCrew and they slammed. If the HX's weren't loud and clean, something went wrong.

850w mono class D in sealed box

they did sound good, clean and hit hard dont get me wrong but just not loud enough for what i want

They would/will sound completely different if you throw them in a ported box. What brand amp and what model is the 850w class D?

Using two different subs in the same box you will run into issues with tuning and so forth. Secondly it looks like you have the Memphis box just sitting there, if you break to hard, get hit or hit someone else just imagine what that will do to your skull when it goes flying through your jeep. First thing first is make sure its all braced down so you will not have a flat skull due to user error.

or even worse he could accelerate too fast and they would fall facing down and destroy the cones. lol

it's worse that his cones can get destroyed than his skull being crushed by the box?

like most have already said, spend some time reading on the forum, you will learn a lot, i'd build a ported box for either one of those 2 12's if I were you, just don't mix different speakers in the same enclosure.

i really dont remember the model..it was a clarion..it wasnt mine..just hooked it up to test it out
