Slinky
Hey, this is my first post. Anyway, i am in the planning stages for my next system. I am getting a 2000 honda civic si and i am putting a wall in it. I want to go big and i was thinkin maybe 6 15" l7's but they need 6 ft3 a piece for max performance. I dont have the car yet so im not buying anything for the system until i get the car, but i still want to plan ahead. My other option would be something like 6 15" fi Q's. I am going to put about 1500 rms to each sub. Let me know what you think. I appreciate the help! ChevyBoy
no experience with either, but i would prolly go with the fi's. theyre cheap and loud. also, they require less airspace
Slinky
The fi site says they handle 1000 rms. Do you think they can take 1500 because i have seen the kickers take 2000 and not blow. Slinky
Have u heard the Q's before? im really likin how they have 27 mm xmax. the kickers only have 15. oh, and i can get both subs for exaclty the same price. Guest MegaloManiac
this seems appropriate to me for this thread to clear things up. MT = BTL XXX = N/A MX = N/A SX = Q SE = SSD SR = X RE = N/A oh BTW the 05' xxx is IMO the 06' MX...but Fi hasnt came out with their own yet... Slinky
I dont really want to fork over the extra money for the btls so would the q's or the l7's hit higher numbers and wich ones would sound better doin it. The SX plays lower like a hip hop sub if youwill
