BFF Larry
What is the best wood to use in building a wall? What is the cheapest yet decent wood to use? Im wanting to get a glimpse of the things to come for my upcoming build. The real question is what is the best wood to use that is wallet friendly but doesn't have a lot of downsides. BassJunkie
Mdf if you're not looking to spend too much money, and even then its not cheap. Birch is the only other wood I would use. Anything else will end up costing just as much after you pay a bunch of stuff to brace it with. tonedeaf
Birch is around me about $50 a sheet, about $10 more than mdf and it's much lighter and stronger.

zayres29
You also drive a full size pickup that much weight for a sub compact is a big diff haha O.p. Personally I would use mdf because of price but as others have said birch is much lighter and even looks nicer IMO but you have to pay for that Quote Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
