Reilly Posted October 6, 2011 Report Share Posted October 6, 2011 For sure sounds like a 512. 250 rms rated. Problem is, at low wattage, people clip way earlier than te think. It could be a 512a, vs 512b which seams to do a little better than the early "a" models. Also, when new, they get hot quickly, they need a small break in time still, they move easier once fully broken in, the suspension being sort of stiff when new, makes you use more power(usually clipped) to get the speaker moving, and therefore heats up the small coil in the 512 series quicker.
