So if you're interested in opinions, maybe go with those 6.5 Kappas like you were thinking. But don't do the 6X9's, just mount 6.5" where the 6X9's currently are. I've always been super happy with infinity mids and highs. The Kappa and Kappa Perfects are nice sounding speakers. As far as amps, I've always liked Fosgate power. There are more affordable options to choose from for sure though. Have you done a big complete system before, or is this your first?

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

This will be my first. I had a few ideas by myself, after doing a little research. Get 4 6.5" instead of 2 6.5 and 2 6x9, and place them all with 1" tweets in the place of the factory 6x9 holes, power them with 2 jensen 760's (75 watts rms to each speaker) then do 1 soundstream T5 15" sub with a matching amp (depends on what I can find for a 1000w RMS amp) in a good box. Then for the head-unit, get a good one with at least 6 preamp outputs. I would like a DVD player and all the fancy stuff, but I can pass on it for now.

Actually thinking about it, I could do the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5" component kits (2 of them) one Power Acoustic D4-2400 amp, one T6 15" sub with the right box (3 cubic feet, correct port for tuning) and then the Soundstream DTR1.1700D for the sub. Wired at 4 ohms, (the infinity perfects are 3 ohm load) the power acoustic produces 200 watts rms, and at 2 ohms, it produces 250. If set up properly without distortion or anything, I'm sure the amp won't kill the perfects. For the soundstream, at 2 ohms, the amp produces 1100 watts rms power, and the sub is rated to take 1000 watts. Tuned right with the right power out and everything, it won't kill the sub, and the amp won't overheat from being overworked. Now, a good set of power wire, and lots of speaker wire, and then a good head unit. What's your guys thoughts?

Edit: BTW, with all this mentioned here, I'm at less than 1000 dollars. So I could still buy a better battery, better alternator, and do the Big 3 upgrade.

i agree with clean sierra. i love my power acoustik sub i have BUT the amps are overrated from what ive read and seen. if you look at the fuse rating for those amps its like 2 30amp fuses but they say 1000w rms..... not gunna happen. also that jensen amp is def. overrated. go with name brand or if anybody else knows a good amp for the price chime in.

i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it

Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. If I had a whole Hertz front stage my ears would jizz all over my cheeks.

Well what's a good 4 channel amp that will put 100 rms to each channel at 2 ohms? That's what Infinity says the Kappas are rated at. I may be getting a set of rockford fosgate amps but I don't know the specs. I may use them, depending on if I buy them or not.

I understand there's tons of people on here, and I'm asking quite a very very broad question, but I came on here to ask for advice, and I have only gotten very little advice. I do appreciate those who have made the attempt though.

I like my MB Quart onx 4.125 i think it is...

It says it does 125 watts rms at 4 ohms, but i hope to get 100 out of them. I have it and i love it. Plays my alpine type r components very well

I've been following your build. I work at a Hyundai dealership and have ripped so many of those damn accent hatches apart for harnesses, or other things. I actually want one, like an 07 hatch and drop a 2.0 with a turbo in it.
