  1. Ha! Damn, I didn't know my facebook stuff got posted on here. That's funny!

  2. The turbo version will be neat when it comes out. They're supposed to handle excellently. As for acceleration, it weighs little and has 200 horsepower, so it's not a slug, but it's not Corvette standards either. You'll definitely accelerate decently quick.
  3. I don't know why everyone is dogging on it. It's going to be a very capable platform. It's not hard to see.
  4. What are you gonna put in the Ford? You have a nice build already.
  5. Searching helps a lot. It's soooo easy to do, and you could even search on google. I doubt anyone is going to spoon feed for such an easy subject since there are plenty of write-ups and how-to's of adding another battery properly as well as upgrading your alternator (which you should plan on doing if you plan on pushing a lot of power)
  6. Guy brings a bogus not complete eGay turbo kit to the shop for us to install. The owner who has been busy for the entire time the car has been there hired me about a week ago, and that's the main job I've had to work on. I've had to deal with all the excessive wiring the car has, deal with poor fitment of parts, and trying to fabricate things to work, and the guy comes today to check out the car. He can't speak for himself, and instead has his friends there to get advice from them. He then co...

Login to facebook for the rest of the story. This was made to keep you in suspense lol

  7. Yeah, good luck with it though! I know working on an engine you're not familiar with is not fun.
  8. Belt could be going and shreded a tooth or two off. Then you'd have a bad misfire issue, among other things. If you say pcv is common though, that's where I'd check first
  9. Maybe have a shop test the injectors to see if they actually pulse? Maybe check the coil? There could be a lot of things wrong with a misfire. Maybe the timing chain skipped a tooth?
  10. What kind of car is it? That may help us out a bit, and what motor does it have? What year of the vehicle?
  11. Uh, sorry for my comment, I didn't realize that you're only doing the intake manifold gasket. That's easy on these trucks. Way easier than heads...
  12. I don't have pictures, but it's not too difficult. Make sure you get the heads re-surfaced really well, and clean the deck of the block damn good too!
  13. I think the change interval on plugs for the 4.0 is like 45k or something like that? Change the plugs! If they're not due at 45k, then they're more than likely due at 60k anyhow. And that depends on driving conditions. They can go out earlier than that!
  14. Why would those need to be cleaned? If it's making good connection, it doesn't need anything else. If you're so concerned about it, go get some electrical spray (autozone like 3 dollars) and spray down the injectors and connectors. Then let them dry or use compressed air to lightly blow them dry.
  15. For all out performance get long tube headers with excellent merge collectors, and do a true dual 3" system with a cross over pipe. Now, whether you do an X cross over or an H crossover is up to you. For mufflers, get glasspacks, as those flow the most, and sound the best =) Also, consider the sound of an H pipe and an X pipe. Both sound different, and both are very different.
  16. Hmm, since there's no such thing as a fuel injector sensor... I don't believe there's an answer to your question. What are you trying to ask?
  17. Are you kidding? Small car parts are way more expensive! What you need to do for the Ford is get an aftermarket coolant temp gauge and install it. Keep an eye on it all the time. You do need a thermostat, so put one back in (new preferably) and as for blowing a head gasket in 5 months, there's something more serious than just a bad thermostat. You need to take the block and heads to a machine shop to have them checked out. Then clean both the deck and the heads and install a good brand new multi layer steel head gasket (available at autozone or O'Reilly's or anywhere online for cheap!) and get a new set of head bolts for both heads. (Also available for cheap!) Then, make sure you use the correct torque sequence as well as the right torque specifications with a known good torque wrench and you should be good =)
