Purplehaze
This is a re-post from my build log, in case you haven't seen it But first, a snapshot of my Torres design. Thanks man! And how about MY "google sketch-up" Alright, I finally started on the box for the 3 12's. I have had all three for a while now, but only run two cause I'm trying to let the other one catch up now and equal them all out, before they go in the same box on the same power. It's a simple design that I am doing completely on my own, from design to construction. Subs up port back 7.5ft^3 @33hz FTW! Here are some pics. I hope to get it completed tomorrow and ready for paint. Going w/ the same as dash (black night metallic) El port Port(left) and top/baffle(rt) More tomorrow long as I get no setbacks! Thanks for lookin' Got a little more done today. Hope to get more tomorrow! Got the port Completely assembled, no glue. I then took it apart and started the finally assembly. All screws were pre drilled and counter sunk. All joints glued w/Tightbond ftw! I'll fg resin the whole inside tomorrow and cut baffle and hopefully finish assembly! Then, long as it sounds good, I'll make it pretty Kickin' Cruiser Seller Feedback Stage 3 Dash, Door Panels,4th Order wall 4 - 15'son a DC 5.0K 2 DC 5.0K'sSolo X 15 (v.2) Sub Build
Purplehaze
Well I got a little more done. Got the baffle cut And the dowel rods cut and attached to the baffle And most of the bracing Test fit... looks good! Now for some Kitty Hair Glued and ready! Baffle glued and more Kitty Hair added! Also bracing for the baffle And that's where I stopped for the day. Let the glue and Kitty Hair dry, and tomorrow I'll smooth it all out, finish assembly and get it all resined up inside! In case you haven't noticed, I'm taking my time All feedback welcome! Purplehaze
Bump. I got rained out today, damn the luck! Anyone have any suggestions? I was just hoping someone who knows their stuff, like Ray or Ram, or any of the vets, could look at the design and the Torres sheet and verify that this should work. Or tell me if I need to change something. I'm pretty sure my tuning will be around 34 or 35hz now, instead of 33hz, b/c of the extra bracing and fiberglass I've added, and b/c I took the router to the outside of the port w/ a 3/4" round-over bit. But I thought that would be better for theses cheaper plastic subs anyway? Remember, this is my first design and build, and I guess I'm just not 100% sure about it. So, anyone care to help me out?
