help me choose an 18 aq or fi

Id totally vote for the fi........ but the aq will handle so much more power.. your comparing a sub that can take thousands of watts and cheaply made, to a woofer in the same price range but one of the lowest model subs in fi's line up. Id totally start saving my pennies or whatever you have to do to get a BL or BTL

Only throwing 1000-1500 watts to a BL or BTL is pointless.

I dont see your logic. So throwing only 1000-1500 watts to a hd3 is not pointless then????

Especially when these subs can take 3000-4000 wrms daily, and I have tons of friends that use them under these conditions daily (Team DOA)

i could probobly save up to get the bl but there is no telling how long that would take. it would be close to 445$ shipped to me with the cooling and p chamber options. but then again i would have a sturdy woofer. what do used bl's usually run?

So even if you bought the Fi BL new the hd3 18 is $309-340 depending on what coil you get.. IMO it shouldnt be that hard to save $100-150 extra to get the Fi over the hd318.

the majority of the money is comming from my friend buying my old xbox. other than that i might save like 5 dollars a month or 10 sometimes if i'm lucky. now if i can pick up a better job that allows me to work more than an hour a day i probobly could save up pretty fast

it is my understanding that Fi is no longer doing the 4" coil option on the BL.... Might want to look in on that

ive seen a few bl d2's for 200 - 250 shipped, so if i find one of those deals ill definitely grab it.

The BL has changed a few times over the years. I had 18" BL's back in 08 and those 08 models couldnt hold a candlestick compared to "TODAYS" model

I love my staffie :good:
