voxigenboy
ok, so currently I have a Kicker DX500.1 amp & a pair of Kicker 12"Comps in an enclosure. I've got a second enclose just sitting there and have decided to remove all seats in my Astro van(a side from driver/passenger ofcourse). anyway, in the 2nd enclosure I'm probably just going to put a pair of 12" Kicker CompVR's & get that 1000.1 amp for them. is that a good idea or should I do things differently? JesseyMclame
Personally, I'd ditch the comps and that other amp, and just get 4 CVR's. I have two CVR's in a ported enclosure and gonna get a AP15001D to push them. They get fuckin loooud. Or, just get one other CVR and have 3. That'd be loud as tits. Azagtoth502
Don't mix match subs if that's what you mean. voxigenboy
hmm... well, i do want CVR's... and would prefer a single 'big' enclosure for 4 of them, but then i'd have these 2 extra enclosures i'd be stuck with. i guess for now possibly, just get a pair of CVR's & that 1000.1 amp... then try to sell the current subs/amp & go from there. STEvil
$500-1000 for a wall, depending on the shop and how much work you do yourself. Build a box for the 4 12's. Subs up, port back, put them on a 1000-1500w amp, call it a day. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. Yeah, just sell the other 2 enclosure's on ebay or craiglist or something. But the CVR's and that 1000.1 amp should sound great. Much louder than those comp's, for sure. corey0928
You should have kept the seats in case you ever want to put them back in. And just sell the subs on craigslist and keep them in the box, it will be worth more if you leave the subs in a box than just by themselves
