Coolbeans
1st question, when ever i play low notes on my system, itll play for a second then the sub makes a little knock sound im assuming its the sub bottoming out, anyway it knocks then my amp goes into protect, and then i remove the rca's, and power and get the amp to come back on then later down the road it does it again, i cant figure it out, does anyone know whats happening, i dont think its the ground because after removing everything then putting it back it works again but i could be wrong, anyway if it helps i got a fi bl 15, audiopipe 15001d, 4ga wiring running to it. 2nd question, On my sub there these little plastic blocks that the terminal post are mounted to, which mounts to the basket of the sub, anyway one of them its broken and the other one looks to be on its way, its just three screws, a direct replacement would be nice, does anyone know if there a place where i can get the same ones, or if i could get some from Fi. larrys95civic
Amp going into protect could be low voltage, or that broken terminal arcing when the low note causes the spider to flex. RooTxBeeR
If I remember correctly, shouldn't you be running lower gauge for 1500 watts? Lbox88
my guess would be that when you start wanging the movement is causing the terminals to swing and short causing the amp to protect. Also bumping up to 1/0 would be nice to see just for a more solid electrical system. UBL | Build Log
