Which Kickers are better? (Kicker 07CVR124 vs. 10CVR122)

Recommended Posts

I own both of these and I'm wondering which are better? They seem to have the same specs, I know nothing about sound systems lol. These are the subs :

There is no such thing as which is better... Its all in how you set your system up and tune in and how well the box is built.... Every factor comes into play to determining which would provide a better setup for you personally

If you want to use the Alpine amp, then you'd want the 1st link

Yeah, I saw. I thought that the specs were mixed up because most Amps output more lower at 1 ohm than 2. I shouldve doneore research.

Look at the power ratings for the alpine amp. 500 at one ohm and 1000 at two ohms. That newer one would suit him much better, imo

Yeah, I saw that. The site says that the amp puts out more power at the higher impedance though, which seemed odd.

I went to Alpines site, and it says 600@4 and 1000@2

Just because the amp outputs all that power doesn't need that it needs to. Just adjust the gain knob accordingly.

Man, both of those subs are exactly the same. I mean, the only legit difference is the looks, and basket design. Same motor and construction. I own the '07's personally just because I think they look a bit cooler. And of course, grab the sub that has the right coil you want. I have two dual 4 ohm, and have each wired to two ohms a peice.

Current setup in my 96 Hoe

Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs.

Amps - (4) Crossfire C5 1700D's, MTX Thunder 5604(mids), PPI Art 300.2 (tweets)

Batts - 4 91ah rear batts, 50ah batt up front.

Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's

Alt - Singer 330A

Front stage - Random JL & Eclipse mids, Eclipse tweets

they're the same? orly? have you noticed that the voice coils are different? and you cant say that the construction and the parts are the same because im sure you havent torn down both woofers to compare them side by side.
