SnowDrifter
See if you can get a cutout template for your particular 6x9s, lay it over top of the current 6x8 hole, trace, and dremel. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

donellk
You can buy a 1/2 inch spacer that should work cheap and not permanent! My dad had a 2001 single cab with 6x8 in the rear we used this method to fit 6x9 clarions in the back! Other then that you would be looking at cutting or 5x7s! m&c caraudio
I cut my 6x 8 holes in my ranger to fit 6x 9s so it should be possible. I used a template and cut slots in the metal with my crimpers and then hammered them back. Then pressed the metal down with some cobras. It's as if your mounting on double metal. m&c caraudio
You might also need to trim some plastic off the door panel too . So it won't rub on the larger cone.
