cavi_in_kc Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 not sure how well this would work...but get like...4 pieces of rubber for each amp, and screw a piece of wood to them in each corner when you mount the amps to the box. or that way the rubber absorbs the vibration from the box and cuts down or eliminates it by the time it gets to your amp. again...not sure how effective, but i bet it'll help more than screwing straight to the box.That actually works quite well in my experience. I've used small grommets for this and it does work. When I first got my 18s I had my amps mounted on top of the box. They rattled like you wouldn't believe. It was almost unbearable they rattled so loud. I quickly relocated them to the back of the rear seats. All rattles gone.

You should mount those batteries somewhere like take a bungie cord or something and brace them to the side or something so that you dont have any issues with them moving around and tipping. And bring em closer so you have shorter wires! Any updated pics? It looks great chris!! Also, your back seat must go crazy!! and I know that metal panel behind the seats that comes down low much really get some air vibrating that thing!! 06 SCION tC

It's a stock alt, I think 70 or 90 amp.Any other ideas as to why it wants to cut in & out? I looked & the amps aren't going into protect, but are vibrating like crazy even at very low volume. Has anyone had any experience like this because of vibration? I'm so frustrated right now cuz it's SOOO loud, just won't stay that way... 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.

Amalan Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 I have a stock head unit & that's how it'll always stay, plus I like a kill switch right at my finger tips for when that po-po is spotted from the corner of my eye. this might be your problem. are you wiring the switch through the power wire? if so thats whats restricting it. either way i would just wire the switch onto your remote turn on wire cause it will do the same thing but wont warm up the switch.
