2 aq 2.5 15's

Recommended Posts

i have a friend who has 2 aq 2.5 15's and wants to build a new box. the questions that came up was he would like to be able to do a hair trick and be loud to the ear. his amp is a audiopipe ap1500. he said he would like to wall it behind the back seat of his explorer. so i was thinging about 10 cuft after displacment and 15^2 per cu ft and tunned to like 33hz with the port across the top

Do not wall an explorer with 2 15's...I have that under the window line in mine.

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

Yeah no point in doing a wall for that, but add more port and tune at 35hz. Just my view on it.

I don't see 2 15's on 1500 watts doing much of a hairtrick no matter how good of a box you build. it takes a lot of power and cone area to pull that off.

10 cubes sounds like a little much for 2 15's but that's just off of memory so it could be wrong. but do what was said earlier a little more port and 35 hz. no need to wall 2 15's ;)

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

AQ subs seem to like more air space i think 10cubes is a good goal after displacement and bracing. I agree with above I think around 16.5" or so of port would work well. May not be a crazy hair trick but i bet you could move some air. Good luck post pics

i would go a lil smaller maybe like 9 cubes.. but 10 cubes might be ok.. but like said before no need to wall for 2 15's and sub up port back is the way id go

This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned

add two more 15's and another amp, then we may see a hairtrick come out of it.

i ran 2 of those in 8 cubes wit about 14" per cube of port. but they never saw full power, lack of proper amplifier. <_< but now i have my AQ3500 coming in that should not be a problem. :yahoo: i think i would have liked it a little bigger. my next box will be 9 cubes with close to 16 something for port area but the sdc will only be in there for a year or so before i get my AA havocs, going in the same box. good luck man :drinks:

aq says 10 cuft for 2 15's and he had a box built to what they said and loved it but needed some cash at the time so he sold it,his is a 2 door and the last box went from the back of the seat to about 4 inches from the hatch and was about the window line and between the wheele wells but it didnt have quite as much port.
