zshortyz
Hi all I'm new here and thought id ask a question for the more "advanced" audio gurus than i am. I own a 07' bmw 328i and am looking to add a sub to it. Price range? 400-500 dollars for a sub and an amp combined, yes I know cheap but I think i can get a decent startup for that price. I want it to bump obviously, and there are 2 problems i run into. 1. Space, i have a spare tire in the trunk because i don't have run flats and i don't want to take it out 2. I don't have fold down seats and or a ski boot so ill be cutting a whole like this http://forum.e90fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=743046 to get some more sound into the car After i did some measurements i figure i can fit 1 12" with an enclosure, i was looking at maybe a rockford fosgate T0d212 or T0d412 but i feel like you guys can give me a better insight on what to purchase to get the best bang for my buck. It will be greatly appreciated and any type of help will be of value as I'm pretty sure 95% of you are smarter when it comes to audio, as I'm just getting into it. Thank you in advance
TRTC360
if this 400-500 budget is just for sub and amp I would recommend DC lvl 3, sundown SA-12, skar audio vvx-12, obsidian, with this amp http://www.audioque.com/AQ750-Amplifier_p_46.html, in a proper ported enclosure should sound great and give you that bump that you're looking for. dcofer
HereSSA has this nice little Stetsom 500w amp for ~$300, appears to have a small footprint also, and you can pick up a 12" from any of the brands above for reasonable price. Would prolly put you near the $400 range then an amp kit and your set. Cant imagine it being over $500 total. Check out soundsolutionsaudio.com, their store has some good brands as well that should be able to meet your goal.
SoundOfViolence
I got that AQ750 amp and a Fi X 12 sub for about $385 shipped. Still waiting on the sub =\ been 2 weeks and hasn't shipped yet but im hoping its worth the wait! I would check out Skar audios VVX-12. I was debating between that and the Fi X12. Watch the bass
This offer, or from this offer 2 12 or 10 (you have to order till midnight), + this amp, + 2 times this offer, so you have ennough wire for powe batt. to trunk, grounding in the trunk, and Big 3 to stabilize the electrical system of your car. You need 2 more ANL-fuseholders + fuses and your fine and a little bit over 500 bucks.
