SoundOfViolence Posted December 6, 2011 Author Report Posted December 6, 2011 Well in that video I have gain on max, +3 bass on h/u and bass knob is at 50 lol. Without that stuff you wouldn't see any movement at all. Probably clipped to hell lol but yeah this weekend I'm going to post a video with all settings off and show how it does nothing ... My friend has a Polk sub rated at like 300w rms and it does 100x more than mine until I turn my bass and gain up. Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u
412 CVX Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 your RCA's might be the problem. when i had my first system (even though it was weak) it would rattle change in the car at half volume. then one day it stopped hitting as hard, which scared the shit out of me at the time because i thought i had blown something. after multiple trips to the shop i got it installed at, they finally figured out that the RCA's had a bad solder connection (or something like that). they replaced the cables with some new ones and the problem was solved! so try some differen't RCA's you have lying around. see if that does anything. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
SoundOfViolence Posted December 6, 2011 Author Report Posted December 6, 2011 Alright. I'll try and do that tonight and hopefully that's the problem..... Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u
CleanSierra Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 You need to quit dicking with it yourself. You need to get it to a shop that has a scope, pay for some diagnostics time and do it right. If you don't take this advice, you will likely fry yourself a nice sub or a nice amp, or both. What gauge wire are you using for power/ground to the amp? Are they exactly the same size? You're not running like 8gauge ground and 4 gauge power right? Is your contact for your ground a good clean bare metal connection? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
jakobebassbudds Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 i would turn your bass settings up to the max on your head unit and turn your gain down to 0 then play a constant bass song and slowly turn up your gain until u like it but i think the settings on your head unit need to be maxed out before you max out your gain and bass boost on your amp . iv never played with an aq amp so i don't know the settings on it, but that's what i would do personally idc what ppl say about turning your sub woofer setting on a head unit all the way up but i think you have better control because your amp isnt pushing so hard. On the pioneer put it to + 6 on sub level and to 60 or 80 hz on the lpf and then turn the gain up slowly WITHOUT the bass knob on your amp until its bumpin and you dont see the red clipping light. I know its not the best method but someone said earlier its better then by ear cuz you dont have a tool . Then try using the custom eq instead of powerful or vocal and tune it your self to your liking. like derrick said its a 700 watt amp at 2 ohm and you might be a little upset thats its not what you thought it was going to be 2 12ks and i dont know what to do build in the works!

I scraped all the paint off the metal where I grounded it. Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u
Decaf Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 headunit produces 2v at 60/62 ish.... 2v on most amps is 1/2-3/4 gain at volume 50 with bass at 0 i bet you are barely getting any voltage in the rcas, lets say .7v. to match the gain to the headunits rcas output you would need to be near max amp gain (most amps end at .2v) leave eq flat and turn sub level (not bass level) up to +6 and use whatever volume your interiors still sound good at. which sounds like 50. then reset amp and it should end up being again, between 1/2 and 3/4. turn HPF up to 100/125hz and that might help them handle a few more volume clicks. sub looked like it was moving fine. peak to peak linear travel for that sub is 1.4".
SoundOfViolence Posted December 7, 2011 Author Report Posted December 7, 2011 Well guys its appears I fucked myself pretty good. On the way home from school I noticed there was no bass..get home and my amps power light is off im like wtf? Check my grounds and it wasnt crimped very well and i could just pull the ground wire out of the terminal thing. I recrimped it on and its way tight and then my amp still wasnt working...checked the fuses and they were all blown? wtf lol. got new ones, amp goes into protect mode. I effed myself petty hard somewhere huh? probably out $200 now also. yaya for failing. Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u

SoundOfViolence Posted December 7, 2011 Author Report Posted December 7, 2011 I don't know if it can be replaced. I sent AQ and email but I don't know if cover something like this xD. And for a bigger amp...dont really have the money for one lol. Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u
