okay you will be fine with two motorcycle batteries in your car, your not going to get poisoned from using them. Its just a urban legend that if you have a batt thats not sealed in your trunk/cabin. It will kill you!

WRONG: The only thing that vents of batteries is hydrogen(and maybe tiny traces of other elements), so unless you discharge/recharge your batteries thousands of times and never open your car door and you somehow happen to light a match in your car, then yes their might be an explosion. But that is highly unlikely since most cars have vents ect in the cabin. So you will be fine running those batteries in your cabin. you DO need to look out for those batteries spilling acid though, so go to walmart and buy a battery box or make some sort of enclosure so they cant fall over.

You can go buy a 200+ dollar battery if your want to, they are nice batteries. But you can do the same thing with motorcycle batteries for wayy less.

... That's EXACTLY what I figured!

There's been a couple people running around with non sealed batts and I haven't heard they've been sick or in an explosion...yet.

But, if I were you, if you want to keep.those batts, just build an enclosure for them and vent them through tubing out a pre drilled hole in the trunk

I wish it was Fiber Glass like my 94 Honda... But it's Sheet metal... * ugh *

... And I metered it with my (2) DB Drive DBA1600.1Ds - it did 147.8db Outlaw...

I just bought the Kicker KX2500 and I can hear a difference, so I'm hoping I can get it re-metered...

... I'm going for SB-1 - my goal is to get 149-150 without facing the subs towards the cabin & sealing off - I ABSOLUTELY think that it CAN be done..

... My trunk it's Dynamatted almost completely... * I am missing the dynamat on the side walls of my trunk though

I also didn't use expanding foam inside of my trunk lid ( That'll probably kill the spaghetti... )

Fromy our posts I gather you feel youre way smarter than everyone else and know more about this than anything. Taking a post from caraudio.com( the asshole of car audio forums) just proves it more to me. Would you like me to link mechman or nathan from XS here so they can tell you otherwise?

..... Hmm, how did you come to that conclusion? - I clearly stated before I DID research throughOUT the internet

... " I'm not denying that statement, but nothing has happened to me as of yet - Plus I don't get the voltage drops like I was getting with the dry cells "

How in TARD-NATIONS did you get that I think I wiser or smarter than everyone else on the subject?

... And If you could do so - PLEASE DO...

... I know there's a better batt out there - DUH! - but nothing I've tried has done what a reg. wet cell has done... * in my install that is *

I'm installing a 150a Alt pretty soon ( i'm just running stock as of now - and it's a Champ in my book ) - I know i'm going to wanna run MULTIPLE batts...

Dude, seriously, get that battery out of the cabin. Replace it with a XS or even a Kinetic. If you can't float one of those run a Optima. From what you said about dry cell batts you've been running the wrong ones, son.

1. There's no way in hell that's a motorcycle battery.

2. Running a system you are deep cycling that battery much more than a car normally does. This means that your alt is charging it a lot and it will be producing a lot of hydrogen which is what brought down the Hindenburg. There are so many warnings about this we're all wondering why you're being so defensive.

Even when you use jumper cables it warns you to run the ground on the dead car to the engine block and not the battery because sparks will ignite hydrogen. Don't end up being one of those horror stories we'll be telling another new member with too much pride built up in him.

Hella beat, tho.

EDIT: Seriously, out of all the posts in that thread you linked you're gonna listen to the ONLY ONE in there that said it's ok? Dude, you're gonna end up an "urban legend" if you keep it up.
