Blue Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Be honest the amps in the doors seems like a good idea, but what about the vibrations that the door will be experiencing? I know garys truck is completely filled up with foam and has 1/2" steel plate welded to the doors and they still flex. But if you can get it to work, and not vibrate its self to death, it will look killer. Good luck man, and have fun running the wires. formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive this sux camel dicks

Ya I'm not really worried about it. They'll be different and I'm sure we're not the first guys to think about putting amps in the doors. I'll text you now buddy! Unfortunately I never got to taking them out and now my truck is at 4 wheel parts. Apparently the effed up and ordered the wrong shackle kit for me, and now they're running around trying to get one shipped fast to them to get it done! SMH! Oh well. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to run over there and get em out if I had to. They're in with threaded inserts so the screws will come out easy. I'll hit you up now! There's just too much flex in doors, and not enough ways to beef them up, unless you put a ton of steel bracing in there. Me myself, I don't have the means to do that cause I don't weld. But, I'm sure you can take precautions to protect them as much as possible, like maybe a thick anti fatigue mat under them, some of those rubber washers under the feet too. Stuff like that will all help. Course, Johnathan, you're truck shakes EVERYFUCKINGTHING so there's just no way for you to stop them from moving all together. But I'm interested to see what you come up with. I'm gonna go look for a spare set of door panels at a j.yard in the next couple weeks so I can get started on mine. tuned it as always!
