Bmike
you might want to find someone local to you with a oscope or dd-1 and see if there willing to set your stuff, flip them a twenty, never know until you try. atleast at that point youll know when your head unit distorts and your gains are set correctly. 2007 trailblazer lthead unit- pioneer p4300dvd crescendo ft-1 supertweeters pioneer m650 pros audiocontrol 2xs crossover Rockford fosgate p200-2 highsrockford fosgate p400-2 mids1- fi btl 18amps- saz 3500battery- evermax in front, 2 9a31 dekas in rearwires all knuconceptz 1/0 and rcas
BassMunky
If the amp is capable of 8v pre-in than 1/2 gain would be close to where you would need to be so just adjust the gain to where you would think that the input voltage would match your 4v input. Now that will get you close but you may still soft clip due to being a tad bit over on the gain but better than way too much gain by just turning the knob and thinking your close. This still does not answer the question of the high pitch noise though, does it still do it or was it a one time thing. the high pitch noise from the amp and subs is gone Shakin not Stirred....my buildhttp://www.stevemead...ngle-cab-build/412 CVX And put a sealed enclosure in your trunk cut a hole in your deck and call it ported

I turned the gains way down to 1/4 up. The high pitch noise coming throught the subs only happen after i was playing my system for a hour only half way on the deck.
