Which would you rather see?

Recommended Posts

Well If I was gonna take the seat out I could just do 15s. I'd rather do a shocking build that you wouldn't notice the 8s till you looked in the back and were like dammmmnnnn

Alright. Measurements tomorrow. If I can find a tape measure.

are you gonna glass the bottom of the box for the most room???

Just read that the sundowns like .6-1.0 ported.. So that could be a option.

so 4 at smallest would be 2.4 cubes

Before displacements yes. I don't know how much the dcs or the epic would need though.

If I need to I can. I'd rather use wood. But I can. Thought about doing plexi on the sides aswell.

Option 1 with 8"s in the kickpanels and/or near the rear deck. Kickpanels first.

Sorry, I like my lows. 8"s can get loud, but IMO you're missing out on a LOT of SPL and intense feelings in the cab.

1) Try to get 1 15" at first and spend just 40 bucks on building the box, get a pair of 8"s in the kickpanels. Who knows, maybe you can fit 1 15" in the trunk (sealed box obviously) and still do 2 8"s under the seat? Then when you want to upgrade you can add a second 15" and remove the seat.. You may be satisfied before doing that. I think that 8"s in the kickpanels is best because you can get the most out of them -- that's definitely the ideal place for them.

2) What if you did 2 8"s in the kickpanels, 2 8"s under the seat (do that last), and fit 1 or 2 12"s in there (ported or sealed... i like ported tho, it's louder, ps: tune low)? Cause 12"s obviously need way less room. That'd be dope. And you can hit the higher frequencies that 15"s can't... And 2 12"s as opposed to 1 15" would mean more dB because of the extra cone area.

Good luck, Im looking forward to seeing the build.

First this is a ext cab f150. Lol not a car. I think I'll do the 8s for now and buy one of the amps Ill use to power the 15s. I like the thought of the 8s and i'm about sold on them now.
