baaudio Posted December 25, 2011 Report Share Posted December 25, 2011 I traded Ryan (mountaineer) some motors for this 18 and couldnt get it in the car soon enough. I had the box done by RAM designs and built it all myself. I got the box all finished up today and playing. So far I'm pretty impressed with the output for only 500 rms to this thing. I cant wait to get a 2k on it. It should really come to life then, or go up in smoke. We shall see. Anyways I got a couple pics of the box and in the car. It's a low end beast in my buddies car, people always tell him it's like two twelves or something. And yes Larry it's a 12 w7 motor. They're beastly little tens. Anyways with the 18 build I've mounted the woofer normal now and saw a big difference in response. Then tuned my amps with my DD-1 and again a big difference. For only 500 rms this things been really impressive. I'm really anxious to put more power on this thing. I didn't measure it and cut out for 18.5". With the gasket it's a tight fit. But is perfect when it's in.
