My Finger Vs. Router Bit

just got back from the emergency room.....router bit vs my left middle finger while making trim rings for the door panels.......oh my finger lost. I gotta decent chunk missing and it aint pretty......no pics at the moment but trust me its nothin nice.

thats why i am really scared to try my router. i have had it for like a year and never used it. even my table saw scares me. my grandpa chewed up his pinky really bad on a table saw.

im not really afraid of any of the power tools i use, but im just real cautious, i once knicked my thumb in the table saw, not paying attention, of course... and someone i knew cut the tips of most his fingers in the jointer at school..

Dang man. I'm sorry to hear that you got hurt, but glad to hear that you are ok and that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I did that same shit about 3-4 weeks ago with a 3/8 round-over bit. I escaped pretty lucky. Take care your hand, I hope it heals well and fast.

my table saw got my middle finger once.

lucky it didnt cut it off, but it just cut me.

i got cocky with it and wasnt being as careful as i should have and it back caught and slice.
