Owners1 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) I'd check with Robin @ BassHeadsEnt [email protected] Or not. why not? He may be a bit more well versed in the art of designing a 6th now but I wouldn't know. I went to him for my first 6th order and had it built up from his design. 2 18's, IA Wardens with 2 Addictive Audio 500.1s. Let's be conservative and say 6000rms and it was doing 149db, and smoke was billowing out of the box because they would heat up so fast. When I messaged him about it, he blew it off like it was completely normal. Sorry but that is not a normal score for that power and those subs especially with that speed of them heating up. A There's not really any general rules of thumb for 4th or 6th order. It's all dependent on your goals. Quote
EBW Posted December 31, 2011 Author Report Posted December 31, 2011 I hear 2:1 is a good place to start, like 3ft^3/6ft^3,6"aero/12"aero, 60hz/30hz Quote Kenwood KIV-BT900 Front Stage RF 400-4 Runs off dedicated 4 awg ofc RE 6.5 125.5.
