carshateme
Okay I got a Hifonics HIF2000D amplifier. Some people are saying it's only putting out 1200 clean rms on a good day and I want 2000 clean rms...what kind of amp should I be looking at. Thank you for your inputs. - Carshateme Quote New build coming soon. C-Fizzy
Um the Hifonics Brutus line DOES put out rated rms. But the cheapass HFI line does not. JustinWilson
Um the Hifonics Brutus line DOES put out rated rms. But the cheapass HFI line does not. well said, also you have to consider true load...rise is a pain and could be most of your issue. A small plug for Rockford (I do love other amps) but they tend to have greater true output at 2 and 4ohms than other amps similarly rated at 1ohm. Especially the CP line. carshateme
I'm not looking for that much power. I'm looking for around 1.5k..I just want enough for people to hear..not enough to shatter my glass. I already blew out my trunk lock with the HFI amp. Had to fix and reinforce the lock.
